The company ZVS Holding, under the auspices of the Ministry of Defence of the Slovak Republic, is organizing the 12th Pyrotechnic Conference, which traditionally brings together experts from the field of defence.
The event offers a series of professional presentations, discussions, and an exchange of practical experience among representatives of the armed forces, experts in pyrotechnics, academia, and manufacturing enterprises. Participants are addressing a wide range of topics that reflect current trends and challenges in the field of pyrotechnics and explosives.

Modern trends in pyrotechnics and defence
The focus of the conference is highly relevant. It reflects the dynamic development in the field of military technology as well as the increasing demands for the safe and efficient handling of explosives and ammunition. The discussions focus on new insights and experiences from the use of modern types of ammunition, rockets, drones, and engineering equipment in current combat operations, with an emphasis on quality, efficiency, and safety of their use.

Attention is also drawn to the discussion on the life cycle of explosives and ammunition, the effects during storage, and the possibilities of extending their service life without reducing quality parameters. Experts are presenting new technical solutions for the pyrotechnic clearance of minefields, which contribute to increasing the safety and efficiency of these demanding activities. An important topic is also pyrotechnic security as a safety element in working with explosives and ammunition, as well as new approaches in the field of EOD, that is, the disposal of unexploded ordnance.

The event is professionally guaranteed by Lt. Col. Ing. Pavol Žídek, Ing. Ivan Chyla, Ing. Miloš Lazar, CSc., and Brig. Gen. (Ret.) Ing. Juraj Krištofovič. ZVS holding, as the organizer of the event, is represented by its General Director, Jakub Krchňavý, who stated: “Our company is a long-standing producer of artillery ammunition as well as a wide range of pyrotechnic products for the armed forces. As a result of developments in the international security situation, the war in Ukraine, the conflicts in Israel, Palestine, and Iran, the production of defence companies is increasing, and the modernization of weapon systems is accelerating. The Pyrotechnic Conference with international participation is therefore an important platform for exchanging up-to-date knowledge and experience among specialists, and I believe it will meet all expectations.”
Tribute to those who have contributed to the good name of pyrotechnics
During the conference, 45 participants, including those honored in memoriam, received commemorative badges from the hands of the General Director of ZVS holding as recognition for their contribution to promoting the good name of pyrotechnics in our countries. The Pyrotechnic Conference reaffirms its importance as a professional forum that connects theory with practice and provides space for the presentation of new technologies and solutions in the field of explosives, ammunition, and pyrotechnics. ZVS holding, a member of the MSM GROUP, contributes through this event to the development of the defense industry and to strengthening security both at home and abroad.
