A strong and action-packed season is approaching, culminating in the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy and we’ll be there! Biathlon has brought Slovakia the most Olympic medals of all winter sports. Our brand is becoming an integral part of the visual identity of the Slovak biathlon team, increasingly visible to fans and firmly associated with this sport.

“I am delighted that we have managed to deepen the trust of MSM GROUP, a company that is one of the leaders in its segment in Europe. Their support is crucial for helping our young generation succeed in competing with a world that is constantly becoming more professional. Our national team has in MSM GROUP a strategic partner who plays an important role in helping us keep pace with our competitors and fulfill our Vision 2030,” says Peter Vozár, President of the Slovak Biathlon Association, about the partnership.

Just as biathlon is the most-watched winter Olympic sport in Europe, MSM GROUP is a European leader in the development and production of defence technology. It brings together companies with a rich history in the defence sector in Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Spain, Germany, and Serbia. “For us, cooperation with Slovak Biathlon is not just about a logo on a race suit or banners, but above all about supporting performance, precision, and endurance, values shared by both sport and the defence industry. We are proud to be the general partner of Slovak Biathlon and to contribute to its long-term development. It matters to us that young athletes have the conditions to grow, develop their talent, and find the motivation to succeed among the world’s elite. At the same time, we are aware that achieving the ambitious goals of Slovak biathlon requires not only public funding but also support from the private sector,” says Michal Fúrik, Marketing and Communications Director of MSM GROUP.

MSM Shooter of the Season

After last year’s pilot edition of the MSM Shooter of the Season competition, in which the most accurate national team members could earn direct financial rewards, the upcoming winter will feature a significantly higher amount of support – up to €6,000 for the top six athletes. The winner will also be awarded at the prestigious Biathlete of the Year 2026 gala.

Competition Rules: All international IBU competitions in the 25/26 season (except CERC) count toward the ranking. To be included and receive a financial reward, an athlete must hit at least 100 targets during the entire season. In addition, they must achieve at least one result in the top half of the results list in any race. The running leaderboard will be published on the official website of the Slovak Biathlon Association and regularly updated on social media.

We are proud to contribute to the long-term development of this sport. We will be cheering for our athletes, supporting them, and celebrating their successes throughout the entire season!
